Blending Imagination and AI: MDW’s Superheroes & Villains Contest
We recently hosted a fun and creative contest within our team: designing original superheroes and villains using artificial intelligence. Each participant had the chance to imagine and bring to life a unique character, complete with backstory, attributes, and visual identity.
The results were amazing! From fearless heroes with extraordinary powers to dark and mysterious villains, every creation showcases not only the possibilities of AI but also the imagination and talent of our team.
Below you’ll find the characters we designed, along with their images and key attributes:
Doña “Ya Que Estás…” (a.k.a. The Scope Hydra)
Bio: She smiles, leans in, and drops the deadliest phrase in project history: “ya que estás, puedes…” and two new heads of work sprout for every task you cut. Deadlines never move, features always grow, requirements live in her head, and feedback arrives the day after release. Her lair is a recurring 6 hours daily meeting with no agenda and 23 attendees.
Slogan: “Don’t leave for tomorrow what you can scope today!”
The Backlog Wizard
The Backlog Wizard can take a client’s vague request, like “make it cooler,” and turn it into perfectly defined user stories—without even breaking a spell. Armed with her enchanted backlog and a magical ability to make sense of chaos, she helps the team navigate a storm of requirements like a true sorceress. Retrospectives? She runs them so well that team members actually end up liking them. And don’t you dare suggest a new methodology—she’s convinced Agile is the ultimate spell and any other approach is just… dark magic.
Excelsior, The Spreadsheet Scourge
Born from the frustration of endless, unwieldy spreadsheets, The Spreadsheet Scourge emerged as a formidable foe to modern corporate giants. He once toiled in the depths of data, witnessing the chaos and inefficiency wrought by over-reliance on Excel for critical business operations. Consumed by a burning desire for revenge against the very systems that tormented him, he now dedicates his twisted genius to causing massive spreadsheet crashes, data corruption, and system overloads, bringing entire companies to their knees. His ultimate goal: to liberate the business world from the tyranny of the “Excel-archy,” no matter the cost.
KP-EYE of All Metrics “If it moves, measure it”
Beneath its unblinking gaze, every action is captured, compared, and scored. Obsessed with measurement, it freezes initiative with constant checks and irrelevant KPI comparisons, forcing teams to optimize vanity metrics. Under its glare, creativity evaporates; the only output is compliance
Lady Yesterday (This Has To Be Done)
He walks with an endless folder in his hand; every step brings a new form, and every brilliant idea gets trapped in a sea of reviews and committees. He feeds his power with the wasted time of others.
The Queen of Delay
The Queen of Delay can turn a 5-minute task into a multi-week saga, all with a flick of her hand. Armed with a dusty, ancient project plan, she blesses every meeting with the gift of eternity. She’s a master at transforming simple requests into epic quests, and her favorite spell? “Let’s circle back on that… tomorrow.” Her feedback is like a bad magic trick—impressive at first, but completely useless by the time it shows up.
Progress Parrot:
This Delivery Lead stalks the virtual halls, a nervous energy radiating from their constant need for status updates. Their feathered companion, a parrot aptly named “Repeater,” echoes their incessant squawk of “How’s it going?” every few minutes. While not intentionally malicious, The Progress Parrot’s relentless micromanagement and the sheer volume of their follow-ups leave teams drained and productivity stalled, turning every project into an exhausting audit.
The Meeting Minotaur
The Meeting Minotaur traps teams in endless labyrinths of unproductive meetings. His maze-like labyrinthine schedule wastes hours without clear direction or outcome. No one remembers why they entered, but everyone knows they’ll leave exhausted, with nothing achieved. He thrives on bringing everyone into his world of endless discussions and circular conversations, ensuring the team’s energy is drained by the time they escape.
The Budgetor
The Dementor of Budgeting, feeding on every hour of your project until nothing remains but despair.With a single sigh, he drains entire budget dry, leaving delivery leads scrambling for justifications.
Comandante Che Legacy (Comandantech)
Forget in the dusty basements of forgo en data centers, Comandante Che Legacy is the eternal
guardian of outdated systems and broken processes. Clutching COBOL manuals and floppy disks
like sacred texts, he fights every a empt at moderniza on with ruthless discipline. His favorite
tac cs include 12-hour batch jobs, undocumented SQL queries from the 90s, and Excel files so
heavy they bend the laws of physics. In his eyes, “cloud” is just weather, and anything agile
is simply weakness.
Data Dynamo
(A superhero who transforms chaotic data into clear, useful insights)
By day he seems like a normal analyst, but in reality, he controls the flow of information with superhuman precision. He can detect invisible patterns and explain complex things in simple ways so the whole team can move forward without obstacles.
El Ñapista
“I fix what best practices fear”. No one calls El Ñapista for textbook solutions; they call him for ÑaaS. When the demo is in two hours and the whole stack is on fire. He bends tools, duct-tapes automations, and stitches improbable integrations that work. It’s scrappy, safe-enough, and it ship…then he leaves a “to-refactor” list taped to the monitor…that involves the whole thing and will forever be unread.

Omnimancer
Omnimancer is a being with the ability to transform and adapt to any role needed in a project. Whether as a Project Manager, Delivery Lead, developer, or tester, his magic makes him indispensable in any situation. With his versatility, he is never limited to one function; he can lead, create, coordinate, and deliver with equal ease. However, his ability to take on multiple roles often pushes him to the limit, but he always finds a way to keep the project on track and bring it to a successful conclusion.
The KPI Guardian
A remote work hero who may never be the life of the party on Teams, but without her, your project would collapse in two sprints.Legends whisper of a figure who emerges whenever a sprint veers off course.

Data Dynamo
Data Dynamo is a humble and brilliant Data Engineer whose true power lies in her extraordinary ability to innovate. She can envision and build complex data pipelines that others can only dream of. While she’s a dedicated team player who always aims to help, her passion for perfection means she sometimes loses her cool when things don’t go according to plan, and her focus on groundbreaking solutions means she’s not always the fastest to deliver.
Valkyrie Viz
“Data with destiny”
Like the Valkyries who chose the worthy on the battlefield, Valkyrie Viz soars over chaotic spreadsheets and siloed systems to choose the data that truly matters. Her spear is DAX, precise and decisive, and her round shield is a clean semantic model that protects truth and context. Guided by two ravens, Causality and Context, she turns fragments of data into a narrative that leaders can follow to action.
